Über die Veranstaltung

"Be like a fountain bowl that first collects the water in itself and then overflows it passes it on."

Bernard of Clairvaux

How can I take care of myself while taking care of others?

How do tension and strain come into my life?

How can I stay more relaxed in the moment of action, in tense situations?

These are some of the questions addressed in this introductory workshop.

The body gives us a clear signal when we separate from our sources of strength - for example when we forget ourselves in the moment of action and go beyond our limits. All this is expressed in excessive muscle tension. This realization was the big aha moment for Australian actor FM Alexander.

He studied how excessive tension contributes to numerous ailments, affecting everything we do - whether we dance, sit, speak, listen, see or think - and cover our selves like a gray haze.

Alexander Technique offers a learning path to more accurately recognize the patterns of how tension and excessive tension enter our lives. This creates the possibility of change in order to “unlearn” the excess again. Excessive tension turns into useful energy.

This introduction gives an impression of how that feels. Individual and group instructions are used for this, kinesthetic games, memorable language images and the special Alexander touch.
