WHAT DO THE LESSONS COST?

A single session of 45 minutes costs 70 €

Many use our all-inclusive price: 10 sessions at €650

A trial lesson is half price.

We occasionally offer "scholarships" and alternative forms of payment.

HOW DO THE LESSONS WORK?

Alexander Technique can be learned through any movement, activity, situation. You receive instructions and guidance with words or  with hands. You will learn useful body knowledge: For example, how does an arm, a leg work, to move really easily and you will find out how you unconsciously disturb it. How does it work in interaction with the whole body, the whole self. In the second step you will learn how you can dissolve disturbing habits and then how you can do it more and more bring your life

ARE THERE EXERCISES?

AT rarely works with fixed movements, such as yoga, Pilates or some physiotherapy. Conversely,   find it very useful to perform any exercise  with the Alexander Technique, because you have a compass that increases effectiveness over the long term. You learn Alexander -Work directly based on movements, activities or situations from everyday life, work or leisure.

IS ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE A TYPE OF MASSAGE?

The Alexander Touch is quite unique. When we work with our hands, we don't work on you, we work with you. Our hands "speak" to the nervous system, only much more delicately than is possible with verbal instructions. However, if  superfluous tension evaporates like fog  it can feel like wellness. 

IS ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE A THERAPY?

The Alexander Technique is not a therapy, not a medical treatment of symptoms. However, many people use the Alexander Technique to counteract their respective complaints or to make a therapy more effective. (There are also some studies for complaints such as back pain that prove the effectiveness.) 

Alexander Technique works more like a help for self-help: I recognize how I my do it with too much excitement Body learns to function "by blueprint" again. Symptoms often disappear as overall use of self improves. This includes the whole body, but also the interaction with the mental, and emotional - the whole person.)

IS THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE A RELAXATION METHOD?

First, because the Alexander Technique is more concerned with our behavior in action, that is, the moment when excessive tension comes into our lives. You learn to avoid that. 

Second, because we tend to teach how all the muscles work together harmoniously from head to toe. So that some don't work too much, others not too little, but at the same time are elongated and have the appropriate tone. Healthy muscles are neither too tight nor too flabby, but have a lively, elastic quality (like in small children). The overall system, as worked out by evolution, gives us a body structure of elastic, springy lightness, where reflexes help to execute movements very efficiently.
